Filmmaking is more than only screenwriting and camera angles. Critical aspects of filmmaking include knowing the ins and outs of the law as they relate to contracts, copyright, fair use, and much more. These concepts are key to many for a successful career in the film industry and beyond.

Join DC Shorts International Film Festival during festival week (Sept 9-19, dcshorts.com) for two edifying filmmaker workshops conducted by WALA (Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts) and George Mason University Scalia Law School’s Arts and Entertainment Advocacy Clinic.

These virtual filmmaker workshops are free and open to the public, but registration is required.
